Moringa Idli fry
Ingredients
For Moringa Idli fry
- 2 Idlies
- 1 Medium sized chopped onions
- 2 pcs Garlic (large one)
- 2 pcs Ginger (thin and medium sized)
- 1 tbsp Boiled moringa leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Chilli powder
- 1/2 tablespoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Urad dal
- 1 tablespoon Oil
Instructions for preparing Moringa Idli fry
- Heat a pan, add 1/2 tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds and 1/4 teaspoon urad dal.
- Once the mustard seeds start spluttering, add the chopped onions and sauté for two minutes.
- Once the onions become transparent, add the chopped garlic and ginger, sauté for two minutes.
- Now add the boiled moringa leaves to the onion mix.
- Add the spice powders, 1/4 tablespoon turmeric, 1/2 tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon chilli powder. We would have already added salt to the moringa leaves while boiling, and also in the idly, so make sure you add the required salt.
- Let the spice powders get coated with the moringa leaves mix, sauté the mix for 5 minutes and then add the idly cubes.
- Add 1/2 tablespoon oil and give a quick mix, maintain in low flame and cook for 5 minutes
- Now idly fry ready to serve. Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
