Drumstick Potato Curry recipe this is one of the most simplest and easiest curry made with drumsticks. a simple and flavorful dry curry recipe using drumstick and potatoes. Drumsticks are popularly used in South Indian cuisine and are mainly added to sambar. Drumsticks are rich in Vitamin C. Coming to this recipe, drumsticks and potatoes make a great combination. Moringa commonly referred to as drumstick is treated as a ‘super plant’ for its unique yet powerful properties that combat different ailments in our system Drumsticks have rich source of vitamins and minerals. Drumstick leaves are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals as well as regulates blood sugar levels. The high blood sugar level is the main characteristic of diabetes, which in turn leads to heart diseases. Moringa Helps to purify the blood. Boosts immunity. Helps in developing stronger bones. 

Ingredients

for Drumstick Potato Curry
  • 6 – drumsticks, peeled and cut into 2″ pieces
  • 3 – potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 – onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 – tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 6-7 – curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp – coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp – chilli powder
  • 1 tsp – coriander powder
  • 1 tsp – cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp – turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp – garam masala powder/spice powder
  • 2 – green chillies, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp – oil
 
Instructions for preparing Drumstick Potato Curry
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the onion pieces and curry leaves for a while.
  • Add the tomato pieces, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala/spice powder, cumin powder, and salt 
  • stir-fry until the oil separates from the mixture.
  • Add the drumsticks and potatoes and 2 cups of water. 
  • Simmer on low heat until the drumsticks and potatoes are cooked and the gravy thickens.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
